About
UK Based Photographer
My first experience of photography was being fascinated by my grandparents ‘brownie’ camera at an age of eight. The tactile feel of the camera and the engineering behind it sparked an interest that wouldn't become evident until many years later.
As a qualified UK Mountain Leader, my first inspiration was the fantastic mountain scenes that I had come across again and again in the French Alps and UK mountains. When not looking after clients, many who had never ventured into the mountains, I still had the opportunity to take some once in a life photographs - but, in the days before the smartphone, I never had a camera with me. It was only in my last days of mountaineering (bad knees) that I did take some basic photographs.
In the last ten years, my focus was to develop my photographer skills to a much higher level, focusing primarily upon the UK landscape. However, realising that the light is not always perfect for landscape, an interest in city scape and street life photography has taken a hold. I am fascinated when looking at fine art city or urban photography and a new challenge was set.
I hope you enjoy my gallery and projects. If you do, please send me a message using the contact tab above. It is always nice to receive appreciation and support.
